Our client, a visionary entrepreneur, who was able to build on one of the last empty lots in San Francisco, envisioned using our stairplane® staircases in his unique house. The amazing house, built on a hill, had an extremely complex stair design, spanning over 4 floors, with bridges and perches and nothing was at a right angle. We weren’t sure, as our products tend toward clean-line design and lend themselves to perfect geometry. Nonetheless, we worked hard with the client, who was determined to make a masterpiece.

The job is done, and our client proudly informed us that the staircase is one of the focal points of the house now. A job well done and an awesome result.

Of the approximately 950 staircases we have designed in the last 20 years, this was certainly one of the more complex and challenging. It was achieved by excellent input and collaboration from the client and our engineer, and some forward-thinking knowing that most things are possible when the will is there. Special thanks to our best client ever: Georg!

“Excellent service, follow-up and gorgeous products. I’m thrilled how the glass stair on my project really opens up the middle of the house and floods all levels with light. The details are impeccable!”
